Citizen Science 2021.Monitoring update by Mike Cappo. Why & what we monitor!
The new Queensland Fish Stocking Stategy requires stocking groups to do their own monitoring to meet the requirements of the management plans they put forward to obtain permits to stock. These are issued by the Dept. of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF). Funding then comes from Stocked Impoundment Permits.
We need photos & length measurements of ALL Barramundi & Sooty Grunter caught. We have been overwhelmed by big Barra. We would appreciate more Barra in the 20-80cm range if possible. Much Appreciated.
